Spartan and Newmar Team Up To Produce High Tech Coaches

CHARLOTTE, Mich. -- Spartan Specialty Vehicles, a unit of Spartan Motors, Inc., and OEM partner Newmar Corporation announced a broad range of new features and chassis improvements for the 2019 Newmar Class A diesel coach models. These include state-of-the-art technology innovations, including the Spartan Connected Coach™ digital dash, Passive Keyless Start, and Spartan Safe Haul™—the industry's only chassis-integrated air supply for tow vehicle braking systems. The models will be covered by Spartan's new extended five-year, 75,000-mile, bumper-to-bumper warranty, the industry's only five-year transferable chassis warranty, as well as a three-year complimentary roadside assistance plan with access to over 40,000 service and repair facilities throughout the U.S. and Canada, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. The new 2019 model features were unveiled at the Newmar's annual dealer meeting in Dallas, Texas in May.
The new digital dash on the Spartan Connected Coach™ includes a digital display screen showing typical automotive gauge functions, including a tire pressure monitoring system on the King Aire and Essex, fuel and DEF levels, and more. The Spartan Passive Keyless Start provides the convenience of starting the coach with the push of a button and includes an all-in-one digital key fob to not only start, but also lock and unlock the coach and all of its accessory compartments, a first for the luxury Class A diesel motorhome market. "At Spartan, we strive to bring continuous innovation to our partners, and Spartan Connected Coach offers Newmar owners a more intuitive driver interface," Steve Guillaume, President of Spartan Specialty Vehicles, said in a press release. Newmar RV 2019 models using the new technology include King Aire, Essex, London Aire, Mountain Aire, and Dutch Star.
