NAPLES, Idaho — The Bonners Ferry Herald, a Northern Idaho news source, reports that the Blue Lake RV Park Resort and Campground has new owners who are implementing a variety of upgrades. Liz Waitinas and her son, Nick Larsen, both new to the campground industry, are installing a sauna near the lake, renovating the bar/clubhouse area to serve wine and beer, and putting in more RV sites and another camping cabin. The resort will also now be open year-round, with several long-term customers planning on staying through the winter.
The 20-acre resort currently rents 36 RV sites, tent sites, small cabins, a pole tent and teepee. A 3-acre glacial lake on the property offers kayaking and pedal boats as well as swimming in the warmer months. The lake is stocked with trout, bass, and catfish, for catch-and-release fishing.
