Springfield News-Leader reports that The AIDS Project of the Ozarks revives an RV "mobile clinic" as a donation, called the "House Calls" in memory of Jim House, LGBTQ activist and health educator for AIDS Project of the Ozarks.Al Miller, owner of Miller Coach Company ambulance manufacturer, purchased the 2016 Coachman RV and is retrofitting it into APO's new mobile clinic for the organization. With a mobile clinic, health care workers could travel throughout the 29-county region APO serves, she told the room filled with supporters. They could discreetly provide testing, education and primary health care to folks living in rural areas unable to make the trip to Springfield.
