Winter Glamping in New Brunswick

NEW BRUNSWICK – With the highest levels of snowfall in the Canadian Maritimes, winter in New Brunswick delivers a number of reasons for travelers to come out of hibernation and enjoy the province’s cold weather culture. From snow-filled outdoor adventures to festivals, the things to do in New Brunswick are abundant for the adventurer wanting that not so usual winter in their hometown. However if you do happen to live in New Brunswick, all this excitement is in your backyard!
According to a press release from New Brunswick Tourism department, "Ridgeback Lodge, located less than an hour north of Saint John on the Bay of Fundy, offers couples seeking a romantic escape in nature a cozy glamping dome. Covered by a white blanket of snow in winter, each Dream Dome features a roaring woodstove, kitchenette, bathroom with glass shower, king or queen bed and a private outdoor wood-fired hot tub." With nearly three miles of snowshoe trails on site, Ridgeback Lodge also offers half-day snowshoe rentals to explore the surrounding forests. Rates for the Dream Domes start at $155 CAD per night. Nearby, Elmhurst Outdoors offers six groomed cross-country ski trails and additional snowshoeing experiences; day passes and equipment rentals available. With nearly 5,000 miles of weathered trails maintained by the New Brunswick Federation Of Snowmobile Clubs, New Brunswick is a mecca for snowmobiling. Situated along Trail #42 in central NB, Wilson's Sporting Camps offers snowmobilers a gateway to miles of breathtaking wilderness, as well cold weather fun for the whole family. WHen you want to relax with a beverage, HopSpiel is the event you want to attend! It is hosted by the organizers of The Fredericton Craft Beer Festival and includes a public bonfire, a chili challenge, outdoor curling competitions and local craft beverages.
