Oklahoma State Parks is currently seeking a State Park Manager for Robbers Cave State Park in Oklahoma. Robbers Cave is one of the seven original state parks and is on the National Register of Historic Places as a significant CCC project. More about Robbers Cave State Park may be found right here. The park is a favorite for rappellers, equestrians, hikers and outdoor lovers. The park and adjoining wildlife management area offers acres of discovery and enjoyment including trout fishing in season, hunting, miles of hiking and equestrian trails, rugged cliffs for climbing and fall foliage viewing. This full time position is the Manager of this entire park which includes a 20 room lodge, cabins, two lakes, a nature center, a stables concession, campgrounds and an extensive trail systems.
Educational experience require is a Bachelor’s degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience substituting one (1) year of experience in park management or operations, business administration, building and grounds maintenance, general construction or natural resource management or operations for a maximum of ninety semester hours of the required education OR five (5) years of continuous experience in park operations may substitute for the education requirement if directly applicable to the work performed in Oklahoma State Parks. Plus two (2) additional years of experience in park management or operations, business administration, building and grounds maintenance, general construction, or natural resources management or operations. And finally two (2) additional years of qualifying experience in a supervisory capacity. The job is open to all qualified job seekers who wish to apply. The job positing closes February 22, 2018. Work shift or hours will be the day shift, but managers are on call, so schedule varies. Be prepared to travel if you must. Salary offered to candidate is $45,706.08 annually with benefits.
