Tillamook Headlight Herald Reports On Oregon Rainforest That Received A $45,000 Grant From The Conservation Alliance
The North Coast Land Conservancy recently proposed the protection of a rainforest in Oregon. Thanks to The Conservation Alliance, this natural area was awarded with a grant of $45,000. The Conservation Alliance represents more than 200 outdoor businesses nationwide that come together to collect money and to choose which organization gets the next grant.
As Tillamook Headlight Herald relates in their article: Since 1989 The Conservation Alliance has distributed more than $17 million in grants that have helped protect 50 million acres and 2,991 river miles, acquire 12 climbing areas for the public, remove or halt 29 dams and get five near-shore areas designated marine reserves – all for future generations.
