News Blip: Outdoors Company Builds Inventory For New Trend
BusinessDen Reports On Denver Company Outdoors Geek Embracing Glamping Trend With Purchases Of Luxury Tents And Goals To Partner With Theme Parks
Who would have ever thought glamorous camping, aka "glamping", would have caught on. Even though the idea of camping is to be in nature without the accommodations of a home, glamping has become extremely popular for outdoors adventure. This concept allows people who may be beginners to the wild a chance to connect with nature while also receiving some luxuries of modern life. Will Marquardt picked up on the idea and is focusing on selling glamping tents at his outdoor equipment rental company Outdoors Geek.
BusinessDen writer Kate Tracy relays in her article: "In Colorado, the company is trying a similar idea at May Farms in Byers, where it will set up three to five tents for five weeks this fall. Next spring, Marquardt hopes to pitch glamping tents at farms and wineries statewide." An actual bed is a big feature in a luxury tent. It is a smart idea to market the idea of camping to people who do not enjoy sleeping on the floor out in the woods or the insects that go along with it. Marquardt said the real beds and additional wood furniture are new features to the glamping product catalogue.
