News Blip: Man Takes On Mountain
South Wales Guardian Reports On Docu-series "Mountains of the World" That Will Follow Former Royal Marines Commando Owen Davis On His Journey To The Top
New documentary series starting on June 18th in the U.K. will film those brave enough to climb some of the world's highest ranges. To kick it off, Mynyddoedd y Byd (or Mountains of the World) follows in the footsteps of Owen Davis, a former Royal Marines Commando. He has his doubts as to if he will succeed, despite his rigorous military training.
South Wales Guardian writer Daniel Laurie relays what Davis had to say in his article: "People expect a former Royal Marine like me to be fit, but climbing at this altitude is a different matter altogether." Owen, from Alltwen, is currently in his fourth year studying Medicine at the University of Keele, but he loves adventure and travel as well. The series will contain more extreme climbers and should definitely be one to keep an eye out for.
