The New Yorker Reports On A Couple's Journey From A Routine Life To The Now Popular Trend Circling The Media Called The Van Life
There is a social media movement that many are taking on, called #Vanlife. With this movement, one trades the regular routine life for one of adventure and outdoor fun while living in a van. Emily King and Corey took on this challenge in 2012, and have never looked back since. Now the couple gives advice, and shares their life with others.
As The New Yorker writer Rachel Monroe relates in her article: During the couple’s four years on the road, hundreds of people have contacted for advice. Last year, he began providing donation-based vanlife consulting, offering to help people “live [their] vanlife vision.” So far, he has had meetings on the phone with around a dozen people. “They never want to know what the most beautiful place is,” he told me. “They want to know: Where do you pee? How do you and Emily not kill each other?”
