Utah's Zion Mount Carmel Highway has recently been overtaken by a house sized boulder that fell during heavy rains. This boulder blocked both lanes of the highway and could only be removed after the soil was dried out; meaning they had to wait one more day.
Zion National Park Superintendent, Jeff Bradybaugh, said: “We want to thank all the people who have been affected by the road closure for their patience as we worked to get the road reopened as soon as it was safe to do so.” Since then, they were able to break the boulder into little pieces, remove them, and replace the broken asphalt with a temporary patch.
