The Daily Star Reports On The Recreational Business And Its Responsibilities In Cases Of Emergencies
When entering the recreational business, one should be aware that in cases of emergency, the business turns into that of a housing business. The recent flood that took place in Louisiana, increased the demand for RVs and mobile homes. The manufacturers even asked RV companies to let their products be sent to companies in the South Louisiana area to help.
As The Daily Star writer Tori Pajares relates in her article: "Mike Fulmer, owner and operation of Berryland Campers, said, "We're in the recreational business, but sometimes in emergency situations like this, we go into the temporary housing business." Berryland is also seeing people who had been considering buying a camper in a year or two for recreational purposes but are now going ahead with the purchase because they need a temporary place to live, Fulmer said."
