Editor's Note: This news item was retrieved and first published through San Francisco Chronicle's website.
The San Francisco Chronicle reports that a number of new glamping options are now available for well-heeled visitors to Yosemite National Park. Accommodations include covered wagons, yurts, converted Airstreams, safari tents and luxury cabins, and come with amenities that often include hot tubs, WiFi and air conditioning, all within a few miles of Yosemite’s entrances. Nightly rates range from $145 for a night in a yurt to over $500 per night for some of the more glamorous glamping options.
As described by the Chronicle, Yosemite Pines RV Resort offers upscale covered wagons; Autocamp Yosemite rents 80 Airstreams; Tenaya Lodge includes 50 luxurious two-bedroom cabins; and Yosemite RV Resort has safari tents and yurts, as well as RV campsites. Under Canvas will open a Yosemite location this fall with 90 safari-style glamping tents. Or visitors can hire Camp’d Out to create a tented oasis, with optional champagne bar, at the campground of their choice.
