Celebrate National Hammock Day By Sleeping Off The Ground

AUSTIN, Texas - Kammok, a company that makes hammocks and other high end camping equipment, challenges campers to make a pledge to sleep off the ground in a hammock on July 21, the eve of National Hammock Day. “This year, we want introduce even more people to the magic of hammock camping,” Haley Robison, CEO of Kammok, said in a press release. “National Hammock Day is an opportunity for us to encourage campers of all ages to get outside and off the ground for one night.”
The company hopes to get 5,000 pledges on its website, where participants can win one of three Hang Forever Kits, including a Roo Double, Python 10 straps and tote, and a grand prize hammock camping package with gear from Kammok, The Landmark Project, Sawyer, Sendero, VSSL, Whole Earth Provisions, and Wildway, as well as tips on how to hammock camp like a pro. Last year Kammok hosted six National Hammock Day camp-outs across the nation with more than 1,800 campers pledging to sleep off the ground.
