High water at Muskegon’s Lake Michigan beach has prompted Burning Foot, an annual festival for beer lovers, to seek a new location this year. The festival is looking to relocate to Heritage Landing on Muskegon Lake. The event features on-site camping, dozens of beer vendors, live music and art installations.Mlive writer, Anya van Wagtendonk, relays in her article, "The event’s organizers proposed the change in early January, following concerns about rising lake levels and construction work at the city’s iconic Lake Michigan park, according to co-chair Allen Serio. The change was approved during a meeting of the Muskegon County Board of Commissioners’ Ways and Means committee on Tuesday, and will head to a vote by the full board next week." The annual Burning Foot Beer Festival, hosted by the Lakeshore Brewers Guild, features art, music, and dozens of breweries. Vendors come from Michigan, Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin, attracting hundreds of visitors from across the Midwest. Last year, 80 breweries served more than 400 drafts to thousands of visitors.
