The owner of Continental RV, a dealership in Farmingdale, Tom Troiano has been very busy during the Recreational Vehicle selling season in early spring. Recorded from last year, 430,000 units were sold. This is a 40 year high. More and more people are realizing the benefits of motor homes and/or RV trailers, especially millennials.

The Economist relates in its article: "Anecdotal reports suggest that ethnic minorities now make up around a sixth of all new customers, says Kevin Broom of RVIA. The fastest-growing customer demographic is 35- to 44-year-olds." The industry is marketing RVs as both business oriented and leisurely vehicles to attract the younger audience. For example, they can allow travelling salesmen, businessmen and university-admissions officers to save on food and hotel costs when on the road for work.
