The Wyoming County Report, a West Virginia news outlet, reported the opening of a world-class zipline at Pipestem Resort State Park. Designed by top zipline company Bonsai Design of Grand Junction, Colo., the Pipestem Peaks canopy tour spans more than 1.5 miles of ziplines and crosses the Bluestone Gorge three times, reaching speeds of up to 50 mph and taking up to three-and-a-half hours to complete, officials told the newspaper. Following the experience riders return from the gorge via the park’s tram.
The zipline is operated by Ace Adventure Resort, which also offers several other experiences at Pipestem, including an adventure lake and splash park, rock climbing and rappelling instruction, kayaking and paddle board tours, guided mountain bike and fishing excursions, plus tubing and whitewater adventures.
