The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) recently announces more campgrounds will become pet-friendly in the coming year. The known Pennsylvania state parks that are creating more pet-friendly campsites are listed here.According to a Woodall's Campground Management article, the Pennsylvania DCNR says "Pet Camping has expanded to include 56 of Pennsylvania’s 121 state parks since a pilot program that started in 2001. Also, a total of 26 state parks allow dogs in designated cabins, cottages and yurts.” Ohiopyle State Park will also offer an Americans with Disabilities (ADA) compliant cottage that allows pets. Nearly 50 new sites at six state parks will be ‘pet-friendly’ in 2021, said DCNR Secretary Cindy Adams Dunn in a press release.
