Journal Sentinel's Rick Barrett Reports On Park Model RV's Having All The Luxury Of A Home And More
Park-model RVs have been becoming more like homes. Their interiors have everything from bedrooms, kitchens, living rooms, and even a porch. These travel trailers are initially delivered on wheels, but don’t often relocate once placed. Lynn Cross, who has a 40-foot destination trailer says, "We often forget it's even an RV. To us, it's just like home. Everything we need is in the trailer.”
These park model RVs are often placed at a campsite for up to six months, and are then moved to a new location; this is called destination camping. Some campgrounds will even sell or lease locations for privately owned park models while others store trailers and set it up for campers.
