New Weld-Free Truck Camper Built With Aircraft Grade Aluminum

Truck Camper Adventure reports that Dynamo Truck Camper Extreme (TCX), a subsidiary of Silver Streak LLC based in Stuart, Florida, has introduced a revolutionary new truck camper frame to the camper market. All components of the camper will be hand-made of aluminum, including cabinets, countertops, window frames and vents, with only buck rivets used in the manufacture of both the frame and the camper, an industry first, because welds have a tendency to fail over time. According to the company’s Facebook page, certified aircraft techs construct all the structure and skins using aircraft grade aluminum.
“We’ve been perfecting the frame and body system for this camper for six months,” Ellie Dillon, Dynamo’s owner and director of operations, told the magazine, adding that her husband, Phil, has extensive experience with aluminum travel trailers and yachts. “He’s been in the yachting industry half his life and has collected, restored, customized, and managed over 300 vintage aluminum trailers, including Spartans, Silver Streaks, Aeroflites, and Avions.” The company is initially offering four semi-custom models configured as either a camper or a toy hauler, available with the original polished aluminum finish, or with an Avery Dennison vinyl wrap.
