A mandatory evacuation is taking place at Flint River RV Park, as parts of the RV park are overrun with water. Almost everyone within the RV park has left to find somewhere else to stay. Coby Robinson and his family have parked their RV at the Flint River RV Park for four years now and the flooding comes as a shock to them. WTXL writer, Brittany Barnett, relays in her article, "Robinson and his family made sure to park their RV on higher ground in the park, and say they're safe. Through it all, Robinson says the flooding has brought people closer together." At last check, the Flint River is at about 30 feet. This is the highest the water levels have been in about 10 years. RJ Galloway, the assistance manager of the park, hopes the river water goes down by the weekend for the sake of his business. The manager said evacuations will remain in place until Wednesday. People who are staying here are asked to check in periodically at the office for any updates. To read more on Flint River RV Park, click here.
