The Nanton and District Lions Club has made plans for further improvements at the Nanton Lions Campground in Canada. The club signed a 25-year lease last year with the Town of Nanton to operate the campground, and the Lions made many improvements to the site in the first year.
According to the article originally posted on Brockville Recorder & Times, This year, the club plans to repaint picnic tables and the exterior of the camp kitchen at the Nanton Lions Campground, said Lion Dustin Southgate last week. The club is probably going to have the east perimeter fence replaced and might also add a few more fire pits, he said. In addition, the Lions plan on installing a video surveillance system, using about five cameras to monitor the campground, said Southgate. Nanton Lions campground committee discussed last week holding a jam session sometime this summer, on a Saturday. The first year of operations went well, with the Lions making money on the campground last year, said Southgate.
