SFGate reports that AutoCamp, a San Francisco-based “outdoor hotel experience” company, will open the area’s first glamping resort early in 2019. The upscale property is located just outside Yosemite on 35 acres in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. AutoCamp Yosemite will rent 80 deluxe Airstreams, along with 15 luxury tents and three cabin suites, all custom-designed by the Santa Barbara architecture firm, Anacapa.
The rest of the property is equally upscale with a 4,000 square-foot clubhouse, a "curated marketplace" featuring artisan food and beverages, an outdoor swimming pool, a hot tub and a freshwater pond. A shuttle to the national park is available for campers. AutoCamp also operates Airstream resorts in downtown Santa Barbara and along the Russian River in Sonoma County, California.
