SUFFOLK, Va. - Camping is for our four-legged friends too, and they need to have fun during the holidays as much as we do. Suffolk Parks & Recreation recognized that with their annual Annual Yappy Hour and Doggy Howl-oween Costume Contest. The event will take place this year on October 26 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lake Meade dog park. Enjoy Friday night with your dog, a drink and some music. The most creative costume idea and the best dressed dogs will go home with a prize!
According to WTKR news writer Victoria Dignon, "The free event is open to all dog park members. All dogs must be on a leash and up to date on vaccines in order to attend. Dog park membership can be acquired at the Parks & Recreation Administrative Building or during office hours at the Lake Meade Park office." The Virginia event is a change of pace than your usual attractions and is fun for all, so if you are in or near the area be sure to stop by, park and give your happy pet a moment in the limelight.
