News Blip: Nature Walk At Mass. Wildlife Sanctuary
Wicked Local Reports On Local Artist Nicole Vachon Installing Two “Story Walks” At Destinations For Outdoor Enthusiasts In The Town Of Sharon
A walk through the woods can be informative if proper consideration and creativity is taken. Such as special stations set up along a trail in the woods. One great example is in Massachusetts. While walking through the woods at the Moose Hill Wildlife Sanctuary, visitors should be on the lookout for special stations set up along the Wood Thrush trail.
Wicked Local writer Heather Gillis relays in her article: "In an effort to combine education and the environment together, Nicole Vachon, a local artist and volunteer, obtained the Foxboro Cultural grant to install two 'Story Walks'; one at the North Attleboro National Fish Hatchery and a second at the Moose Hill Wildlife Sanctuary in Sharon. Both walks are short, less than a mile, and fairly easy to navigate." The walks are immersed in nature, so it is something one can do to truly appreciate what the outdoors have to offer.
