ADN Reports On The Proposal In Alaska To Ban RV Camping In Anchorage Parking Lots Once Again After It Was Dropped Last Year
Anchorage has recently received another notion to ban RV Camping in its parking lots on commercial and industrial properties such as Wal Mart, Fred Meyer and more. This proposal was dropped last year by Assemblywoman Elvi Gray-Jackson but is now being reintroduced by Assemblyman Eric Croft.
As Alaska Dispatch News Writer Devin Kelly relates in their article: "I'd like to have people parking in places that have the proper facilities for them," Croft said. "There's just better ways to do this." Croft said he himself had watched RVs park in the Wal-Mart parking lot over the years. But he said he also heard complaints from Lottie Michael, who owns Golden Nugget RV Park in the Russian Jack area.
