Construction at Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park Causes Delays

WHITEHALL, Mon. - Montana State Parks announce a temporary closure of the upper portion of Cave Gulch Trail at Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park. In addition, there will be a closure to the access to the Cave Visitor Center parking lot beginning Tuesday, October 1, 2019 to allow for sewer replacement construction in that area.
According to a press release, The area will remain closed to the public throughout the construction which is expected to be completed in late fall 2019. All unaffected trails will remain open to the public for hiking and mountain biking during the project. Park trails and the campground will be open daily. Campsites with electricity will be available, but water hookups will be shut off throughout the winter.
