Arkansas & Indiana State Parks Hold Specials For National Travel and Tourism Week

Indiana State Parks and Arkansas Department of Parks & Tourism are celebrating National Travel and Tourism Week on May 6 through May 12, 2018 with events and specials until Saturday. Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch and the Indiana Office of Tourism Development (IOTD) are celebrating Visit Indiana Week from May 6 through May 12, 2018. Visit Indiana Week consists of over 200 attractions and properties will be offering discounts and promotions for travelers. According to the U.S. Travel Association's ‘Project Time Off’ study, over the last two years, 54 percent of Americans have left unused vacation time from the previous year on the table.
The Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau (LRCVB), City of Little Rock, Quapaw Quarter Association, and the Arkansas Department of Parks & Tourism will host a joint Travel Rally Day press event Tuesday, May 8, 2018, 10:00 a.m., at the Little Rock Visitor Center at Historic Curran Hall, located at 615 East Capitol Avenue to discuss the importance of tourism in Arkansas. This year’s National Travel and Tourism Week theme of “Travel Then & Now” takes a look at travel trends over time. At the May 8 press event, a commemorative time capsule filled with objects representing past and present travel-related items will be buried at Curran Hall.
