WASHINGTON COUNTY, Wisc. â FOX 6 Now News reports on free entry into all six fee-based Washington County Parks Nov. 29 through Dec. 1. Parks include are Ackerman’s Grove County Park, Glacier Hills County Park, Heritage Trails County Park, Homestead Hollow County Park (including Homestead Howl Dog Park), Leonard J. Yahr County Park, and Sandy Knoll County Park (including all-new disc golf holes).
According to a press release, Waukesha County also participates in #OptOutside and #thankfulfor parks with free entry into all nine fee-based Waukesha County Parks. At Glacier Hills, new rustic Cabins have been added for a different camping expericne. Each cabin consist of a 400 sq. ft. main room, a small storage closet, and a private deck with forest and lake views. Friess Lake is 121 acres and 48 feet deep, it’s also home to panfish, largemouth bass, northern pike, and walleye. Canoers and kayakers can also explore Little Friess Lake and get away from all the larger boats and enjoy nature. Canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards are available for rent at the self-rent kiosk by the lake.
