SYRACUSE, Ind. -- The Goshen (Indiana) News reports that construction on four new buildings that will house the expanded manufacturing facilities and headquarters of Travel Lite RV is underway in the Syracuse 6 & 13 Technology & Industrial Park. Located north of town at the intersection of US 6 and IN 13, the industrial park is the first in the Syracuse, Indiana metro area. Travel Lite RV purchased seven lots in the park last May and is building an RV repair shop and dealership, a fiberglass shop where countertops and table tops will be made, a company headquarters and a factory with two production lines. Owners Dustin and Lindsey Johns told the Syracuse Town Council they were investing around $5 million in the project. Travel Lite has been manufacturing high quality lightweight travel trailers and campers since 1998.
Johns told the Goshen News that the new facility will more than double the size of the 60-employee company’s production capacity and workforce, with the first phase of the new location turning out up to 24 units a day. A truck camper and travel trailer manufacturer founded in 1998, Travel Lite’s growth is driven by high demand for the company’s Falcon Modern Ultralites, a trendy line aimed at Millennial campers.
