Sisters On The Fly Gather In Illinois

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - WQAD reports that more than 70 women, all dressed as witches, gathered at the Quad Cities KOA Campground in Rock Island on the weekend of Oct. 20. The event, sponsored by Sisters on the Fly, encouraged female empowerment and celebrated fall camping. Activities included fishing and canoeing on the KOA’s lake and trick or treating to the decorated vintage trailers in attendance.
Sisters on the Fly (SOTF), the largest women's organization in the country with a focus on outdoor activities, has more that 13,000 members in all 50 states in the U.S. as well as in Canada, Australia and France. SOTF events take place all over the country, year round, and include "Girls’ Nights Out", horseback riding, camping nights, hiking, outdoor gatherings, wine tastings and restoring and touring vintage campers, which the organization is known for.
