News Blip: Retired Barber Living Life To The Fullest
Tehachapi News Reports On Bob The Barber Retiring From Iconic Shop In Tehachapi To Begin Adventures With His Wife in RV
Bob Carey is one lucky man. He worked his dream job as a barber for 55 years at Bob's Hot Rod Barbershop in Tehachapi, CA. Furthermore, he is retiring to have even more adventures with his wife, Allison. He's able to do this by owning an RV and traveling the country. Staying in a retirement community for their elder years is not the path for these adventure seekers.
Tehachapi News writer Darla Baker relays in her article: "Bob said he has met some wonderful friends in his chosen profession, but has also lost many over the years, like Kelcy Owens of Kelcy's Restaurant, who died in 2008." Bob wants to live life to the fullest and this is his best opportunity. His wife agrees. Allison Carey talks with Darla from Tehachapi News: "We have never really been anywhere. We want to see the Grand Canyon, and we want to go do stuff. With the motor home and the car, now we can."
