CNBC Reports On The Headquarters In Springfield, Missouri Celebrating The Opening Of Their New National Wildlife Museum & Attraction
Bass Pro Shops has been a trusted outdoor retailer for fishers, boaters, campers, hunters, and many more outdoor adventurers since 1972 when avid young angler Johnny Morris found the company. Lats month, they joined forces with another leader in the outdoor industry, Cabela's, and plan to offer North America the best in outdoor equipment, and now entertainment. The company opened a wildlife museum and attraction recently that spans 350,000 square feet.
CNBC writer Harriet Baskas relays in her article: "It took more than 10 years to complete the 350,000-square-foot WOW compound adjacent to the sprawling Bass Pro Shops National Headquarters, about an hour's drive from Branson. CNBC recently took a tour of the facility, which is billed as being larger than even the sonian Museum of Natural History. WOW boasts 35,000 live fish, mammals, reptiles, amphibians and birds; 1.5 million gallons of freshwater and saltwater aquariums; and more than 1.5 miles of trails that meander through 4-D dioramas that share sights, sounds and smells of wildlife habitat, including the African savannah, the Amazon rainforest, ten U.S. National Parks and the Arctic.
