Winnebago Industries, Inc. announced the completion of its acquisition of Newmar Corporation, a leading manufacturer of Class A and Super C RVs, in a deal announced last September. Winnebago paid $270 million in cash plus two million shares of Winnebago Industries common stock for the premium motorcoach company. “The acquisition of Newmar further strengthens our core RV Platform and enhances the scale and profitability of our overall motorhome business,” Michael Happe, Winnebago Industries president and CEO, said in a press release. Newmar, headquartered in Nappanee, Indiana, was founded in 1968 and manufactures and sells Class A Diesel, Class A Gas and Super C RVs through a nationwide dealer network in the US and Canada. Happe said Winnebago will continue to work with the Newmar team and dealer network.
