National Park Service Announces New Superintendent of National Mall and Memorial Parks

The National Park Service announces Jeffrey P. Reinbold as the new Superintendent of National Mall and Memorial Parks. Reinbold, a national park manager with 28 years’ experience and expertise in public-private partnerships, has served as acting superintendent of National Mall and Memorial Parks since March. More than 35 million visitors to the National Mall contribute more than $800 million to the local economy annually.
As stated in a press release, Reinbold will manage the iconic monuments and memorials of the nation’s capital, and care for treasured neighborhood green space with a budget of approximately $35 million and alongside a staff of nearly 300 and more than 6,000 volunteers. Reinbold will also manage the National Mall’s infrastructure improvement projects, ensuring the enjoyment of future park visitors. "I am fully confident in his ability to connect the millions of people that visit the National Mall from around the world to the stories preserved here," said NPS Deputy Director P. Daniel of Reinbold's abilities.
