Developers want to transform close to 50 acres of land off Bayshore Road into a 117 unit RV park. A public hearing was being held in Door County Thursday night to decide the fate of an old quarry in Sevastopol. Residents in the area are not content with the idea of a new RV park in the Town of Sevastopol.Fox 11 News Staff, cover in their article, "Dozens turned out to share their concerns with the Door County Resource and Planning Committee on Thursday. Developers behind the project want to build a Class A motor coach community in the abandoned quarry just north of Sturgeon Bay." The site would include a clubhouse, private storage building, recreation course, and three ponds for stormwater runoff. If the committee approves the permit, developers hope to start building as early as next year. The committee plans to make a decision during its regular meeting next Thursday.
