Go RVing 2018 Ad Campaigns Receive Awards

RVIA announced that consumer-focused marketing campaigns for Go RVing have received two awards from the professional marketing community. The 2018 AWAY campaign led by branding and advertising agency, The Richards Group, partnering with AI company, GumGum, received the Most Effective Travel & Tourism Campaign or Solution award at the 2018 Effective Mobile Marketing Magazine Awards. The campaign successfully targeted young adults thinking of starting families and parents with young children across multiple digital media platforms.
“With the evolution of marketing, it’s not enough to just air a commercial on TV during The Big Game. You have to put your brand where the eyes are, and we live in a digital world,” Courtney Bias, Go RVing’s director of strategic marketing, said in a press release. Research indicates that people who have RV'ed as children are more likely to pass on the lifestyle to their own families.
Go RVing was also recognized in the Ad Age Magazine A-List Honors for a special ad unit that folded out of Country Living’s July/August issue. Featuring a glow-in-the-dark cover- which, in daylight, showed a family roasting marshmallows around a campfire, and, in the dark, displayed the headline "Away We Glow!" in glow-in-the-dark ink over an illustration of a mason jar filled with fireflies- the issue proved to be a newsstand best-seller.
