Daimler Vans USA/Sprinter: Shifting Seats, Fuel Leaks
Diesel Fuel System Recall VS3KRAFMOD: Daimler Vans USA, LLC (DVUSA) is recalling 4,987 2019 Mercedes-Benz and Freightliner Sprinter vehicles equipped with diesel fuel systems. The bayonet lock between the fuel pump and the fuel tank may not have been closed and locked during manufacturing. As a result, a leak between the fuel pump and the fuel tank could occur and a gas station fuel pump may not automatically stop once the tank fill level is reached, potentially causing the fuel to overflow. Dealers will inspect the bayonet lock on the fuel pump, locking it as necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin December 20, 2019. DVUSA customer service: 1-877-762-8267. Seat Cushion Recall VS3SITZVER: Daimler Vans USA, LLC (DVUSA) is recalling 3 2019 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and Freightliner vehicles. A seam on the height adjuster for the front seats may have been insufficiently welded, allowing the weld to break in the event off a crash and causing the seat cushion to shift forward. Forest River: Risk of Refrigerator Fire
Refrigerator Wiring Recall 76-1109: Forest River is recalling 154 2020 Cherokee Alpha Wolf Travel Trailers, due to the wire supplying the 12V power for the refrigerator that may be incorrectly connected to the circuit breaker. The wire may melt causing a fire. Dealers will correct the wiring, free of charge. Forest River customer service: 1-260-499-2100.
Gulf Stream Coach: Carbon Monoxide/Propane Risk
Gas Refrigerator Recall 102919: 205 2020 Amerilite, Conquest, Innsbruck, Grand River, Kingsport and Trail Master trailers may have a gas refrigerator compartment that is not properly sealed, potentially releasing carbon monoxide or flammable unburned LP gases inside the trailer, possibly leading to an explosion or suffocation. Keystone RV: Overload Risk
Label Recall 19-364: 10 2014 Springdale 253FWRLLS trailers may have Federal Identification Tags with the incorrect tire, rim, and axle size. The incorrect label could lead to overloading of the trailer, and increase the risk of a crash. Dealers will replace the Federal Identification Tag, free of charge. KZRV: Detaching Storage Racks
Storage Rack Recall KZ-2019-02: KZRV is recalling 1,122 2019-2020 Connect and Sportsmen trailers equipped with an optional Rock Run flip up rear storage rack. The rack may detach from the trailer when loaded, causing the rack and items on it to fall into the road. Dealers will inspect and replace the mounting brackets and replace damaged racks with a redesigned version, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin January 4, 2020. Newmar: Headlight Malfunction
Headlight Recall: 6 2020 Mountain Aire motorhomes built on a Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) chassis may have a flaw in the headlight controls that causes the low beam bulbs not to remain illuminated when the high beam bulbs are activated. Without both beams working together, drivers will have reduced visibility. DTNA dealers will repair as necessary to ensure the low beam bulb will illuminate along with the high beam bulb, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin January 14, 2020. Thor: Poor Visibility, Collapsing Seat Backs, Detaching Solar Panels
Reflector Recall RC000178: Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling 1,785 2014-2017 Tuscany XTE , 2013-2018 Tuscany and 2016-2020 Venetian motorhomes. The rear reflectors within the taillight lens may be too high, reducing the vehicle's visibility. Dealers will install adhesive reflectors, free of charge. Seat Recall RC000178: 229 2019-2020 Magnitude and Omni motorhomes may have seat recliner mechanisms that are missing the third pawl required for seat back strength, resulting in a loose seat back and causing the occupant to be inadequately restrained in the event of a crash. Solar Panel Recall RC000179: TMC is recalling 107 2020 Sequence 20L motorhomes. The screws securing the solar panel to the luggage rack may fail causing the solar panel to detach. Winnebago: Risk of Electrical Short and Fire
Electrical Connector Recall 160: 638 2017-2020 Itasca Vista, Sunstar, and Adventurer 35F motorhomes may have an electrical connector mounted directly on the floor instead of on a standoff bracket as intended. If the area gets wet, the connector may short out or start a fire. Dealers will correctly mount the electrical connector onto a metal standoff bracket, free of charge. Recalls Affecting Tow Vehicles
Chrysler: Contaminated Power Steering, Cooling Fan Fires
Power Steering Recall VB8: Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling 193 2019 Ram 1500 trucks that may have been built with a contaminated electric power steering (EPS) gear that can short circuit, resulting in an intermittent loss of power steering assist, especially during lower speed maneuvers. Dealers will replace the EPS gear assembly, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin January 3, 2020. FCA US customer service: 1-800-853-1403. Cooling Fan Recall VB2: Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling 99,128 2015-2018 Ram ProMaster vehicles equipped with 3.0L diesel or 3.6L gasoline engines and air conditioning. The engine cooling fan may seize causing the cooling fan motor to overheat and catch fire. A remedy is still under development. Interim notices informing owners of the safety risk will be mailed on or before January 4, 2020, with owners receiving a second notice when the remedy becomes available. Ford: Light Problems - Front and Rear
Running Light Recall 19C10: Ford is recalling 86,296 2018-2019 F-250, F-350 and F-450 Super Duty trucks. The Daytime Running Lights may not dim when the headlight switch is moved into the "On" position, reducing the visibility of oncoming drivers. Dealers will reprogram the Body Control Module (BCM) software, free of charge. Ford customer service: 1-866-436-7332. Tail Light Recall 19S43: 72,718 2019 Ranger trucks may have inline electrical connector terminals for the rear lights misaligned or not properly seated, potentially causing the rear lights to function intermittently or not at all, resulting in loss of stop, turn, rear position, and reverse light functions. General Motors: Seat Belt Fires
Seat Belt Recall N192270600: GM is recalling 556,399 2019-2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500, and 2020 Silverado 2500, Silverado 3500, Sierra 2500, and Sierra 3500 vehicles equipped with carpet floor covering. When the front seat belt pretensioners deploy, hot gas may vent through an opening in the pretensioner bracket, causing the carpet to catch fire. Generator Recall 20-710: Yamaha is recalling about 10,100 2018-2019 Yamaha EF2000iS portable generators with with serial numbers 4543288 through 4553706. The blue generators have Yamaha and the model name printed on the control panel. The generator’s fuel tank may leak gasoline, posing fire and burn hazards, and were sold exclusively at Yamaha Motorsports dealers nationwide from June 2018 through October 2019 for about $900.
