MARYVILLE, Miss. - KMA Land, a news outlet in Shenandoah, IA, reports that Mozingo Lake Recreation Park, located just east of Maryville, Missouri, is offering free RV sites to citizens impacted by the widespread flooding in the region. "We certainly have an abundance of RV spots at Mozingo with full water and electric hookups," Maryville City Manager Greg McDanel told KMA Land. "A few of us got together from staff and some other elected officials. We decided that if there's anything that we can do to help out, we sure want to offer those spots for free."
Those wishing to take advantage of the offer must provide their own RV as well as some sort of documentation that shows the RV is coming from a flood impacted area. The city-owned recreation area is located in Northwest Missouri on the shores of a 1,000 acre reservoir offering a variety of water based recreational opportunities including boating and fishing, as well as horse and hiking trails and a highly rated golf course. In addition to 109 RV sites and a variety of cabins, the park also has equestrian RV sites with hitching posts, drinking water, and a bathhouse.
Anyone interested in the free RV spots can contact Mozingo Lake Recreation Park at 660-562-2323.
