California RV Show Breaks Records

The RV Industry Association (RVIA) reports that the 67th annual California RV Show, which concluded on Oct. 13, set a new record for attendance in its first year at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana. A total of 45,112 people attended the ten-day event, with a record-breaking one-day gate of 10,000 on the first Saturday. The largest and oldest annual RV consumer show on the West Coast has more than doubled in size over the past nine years.
RVIA attributes part of this year’s increase to the new spacious grounds at the Auto Club Speedway, which attracted a 12 percent increase over last year’s event at the Los Angeles Fairplex in Pomona. With more than one million square feet of display space, the speedway provided plenty of room for the 40 manufacturers who displayed over 1,000 motorized and towable RVs. The family-friendly festival-style event included live music, educational seminars and celebrity appearances. Trams and golf carts helped attendees navigate the site.
Next year’s show, organized by RVIA, is scheduled for October 2-11, 2020 at the Auto Club Speedway. For more information, visit the California RV Show website.
