NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Clarksville Now reports that State Park Blonde Ale, produced by the Tennessee Brew Works in Nashville, has raised more than $7,000 for the Tennessee State Parks Conservancy in its first year of production. The brewery donates 50 cents for every case sold, and also gathers donations from distributors operating in the state. The State Parks Conservancy will use the funds for the preservation and protection of natural resources within Tennessee’s 56 state parks system. The beer’s label bears the image of long-time state naturalist Randy Hedgepath and is sold at retailers, restaurants and bars throughout Tennessee as well as at several of Nashville’s famous honky tonks.
“We’re grateful to Tennessee Brew Works, its distributors and fans of the State Park Blonde Ale for their support of our state parks system,” Brock Hill, deputy commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation, told Clarksville Now. “Tennessee is one of only seven state park systems in America that does not charge an entrance fee. Partnerships like this help make that possible.”
