AL.com, an Alabama news outlet, reports that the Sugar Sands RV Resort, a popular destination for snowbirds in Gulf Shores, has been sold to local investors for $3.075 million. The 11-acre, 63-site resort has been offered on the Kaiser Sotheby's International Realty website in recent months, with an asking price of $3.95 million. Erin Kaiser of that firm handled the transaction, according to court documents.
The lushly landscaped, pet friendly Sugar Sands has 63 sites, each with a large 22' x 60' concrete pad and full hookups, including 30/50 amp power, water/sewer, and WiFi. Other resort amenities include a bath house, 5,000 square foot recreational building with a full kitchen and 6 roll-up doors to open it to the outdoors, and a zero entry resort-style pool. The resort has remained open during the sale, and is accepting reservations for the next winter season.
