Virginia Horse Center

The Virginia Horse Center stands at the forefront of Virginia’s $2 billion equine industry. Founded to promote all disciplines of equestrian sport, its approximately 600 acres of picturesque grounds include a 4,000-seat coliseum, eight barns capable of accommodating 1,200 horses, 19 show rings including two large indoor arenas, cross-country and combined carriage driving courses, campgrounds, and catering and café services. The Virginia Horse Center also hosts a variety of non-equine events, including dog shows, agricultural programs, and community events.

The Virginia Horse Center Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that owns and operates the Virginia Horse Center. The Foundation is proud to be part of the Rockbridge community, an asset to Virginia’s equine economy, and a resource for the Mid-Atlantic competition circuit.

Committed to the well-being and safety of both horse and rider, the Virginia Horse Center Foundation supports a premier competition facility that welcomes thousands of horses, riders, spectators, and other visitors each year. The VHCF hosts more than 100 events annually, many of them free and open to the public. The Foundation’s mission is to enrich lives through programs focused on recreation, education, and preservation.
