Western State Colorado University is starting its own Outdoors MBA program to help students prepare for the outdoor industry. The industry is looking for leaders who have a grip on the outdoors and now the university can provide its students with the right education and outdoor experience by not only teaching in class, but taking students on outdoor adventures.

As Gear Junkie writer Sean McCoy relates in his article: Courses unique to the program include climate policy, climate regulation, competitive dynamics of the outdoors industry, land management, retail management, and sustainable practices. While the outline is in place, the university still seeks feedback about the program as it charts new territory.
