The town of Terlingua is home to two authentic and well-known chili competitions, aka Cook-offs. “This is a very serious competition,' says Debbie Eiland Turner, event coordinator for the Original Terlingua International Championship Chili Cookoff. People have to qualify and cook at championship levels.
