The San Juan Skyway, a National Scenic Byway since '88, begins in Durango. The Skyway is known as the “road to the sky' with views of mountains and rolling hills . The Skyway, which covers the renowned Million Dollar Highway, encompasses many of Colorado’s smaller cities, like Silverton, Ouray, Placerville, & Dolores.
