A pleasant surprise

Daddy Rabbit Campground, 2015 Union School Rd, S.W.Willis VA 24380 540-789-4150 Down a winding twisting road over hill and dale you get to Daddy Rabbit and the first thing you are confronted with is a very steep entrance. The interior roads are narrow and hilly, the sites are uneven, and there is only 15/20amp electric service. The website says ?Full Hookups? but you can not have your water heater on and try to run the microwave at the same time. Four or five sites are on the same breaker. I think the price was high for the lack of facilities. That's the bad news. Now for the good news. Tim & Chris are nice guys and tell me that very soon the electric is going to be upgraded to 30 amp. But the truly good thing about the Rabbit Hutch is the sites are in the woods of large old growth trees and at 3000 feet of altitude I never needed to run my AC even though just six miles away at Floyd it was in the 90s at 1000 foot. I liked it so much I stayed for six weeks. I was in the area to ride my motorcycle and the Rabbit is only six miles from the blue Ridge Parkway to the south. To the north past I-81 is the mountains with some great roads for MC riding. I have a 38ft class A and there was plenty of room.
