It is almost time to get out there and enjoy the camping season. As the weather begins to warm up and spring approaches the time has come to think about the trips you want to take. Get the kids/grandkids together and discuss some destination options. Next, consider your options to keep the children entertained on the road. If you haven’t already done it, it is time to upgrade your entertainment system to make travel a little more pleasant for everyone. With that in mind, here are some ways to keep your travelers engaged with the RVing theme.
The RV Soundtrack
There are so many songs that have RVing/Camping themes. With an upgrade to a Bluetooth speaker system you can create a “Hit the Road” playlist that has many different types of music genres with the RVing theme. My favorite is “My House” by Kacey Musgraves. It is a great song about the RV lifestyle and can be found on her “Same Trailer Different Park” CD. Some other popular songs that can be added to your playlist are:
“On the Road Again” by Willie Nelson
“Cruisin” by Smokey Robinson
“Howl” by Florence + the Machine
“Born in the U.S.A.” by Bruce Springsteen
“Take Me Home, Country Roads” by John Denver
The MobileRVing.com Facebook page does a Travel Tunes Feature every Saturday, where they showcase great travel songs.
RV TV on the Road
Whether your journey is long one or a short one, keeping your travelers occupied is very helpful to the driver. Smart TVs and In-Motion satellite dishes can help keep things quiet by giving you options to watch new and old TV shows. Now the question looms…what to watch? There are several RV themed television shows that are very entertaining. One that I really enjoy is “Rock My RV with Bret Michaels” on the Travel Channel. RVs and trailers are taken from drab to fab on this RV makeover show. Some other TV shows are:
“Promise Land” a spinoff from Touched by an Angel
“RV” on HGTV
“Flipping RVs” on GAC
“Extreme RV” on the Travel Channel
