We spend a lot of hours traveling, Lynn is the RV Guy (Pilot of the RV), and I am the Navigator (when GPS is unavailable). Yes, we still look back at the old paper maps once in a while, GPS gives you direction, but the paper maps still show you when you’re going to be climbing a big hill down the road, or some of the best little backroads in our Nation!
One person asked us one time; “don’t you run out of things to talk about”? We have 37 years of memories, and we keep making them, more so on our travels, so NO, we never run out of things…now don’t get me wrong we have our silent times, and when you care & love for someone, those are okay too. But one thing too we found to pass the time is Books on Tape. If you have never tried this, you need to, we really get into to it as if you were reading the book yourself.
I guess you can kind of call us vagabonds, after staying in one place for 2 weeks we are ready to hit the road, see new roads and new places. Even though we sometimes go to the same places each year, we still seem to find a new way (road), or new places to stop, that makes every trip fun, fresh and exciting!
Lynn likes to use the 250 Rule…250 miles or stop by 2:50 in the afternoon. We do not like getting into a new place after dark, and if you have ever had to help back up a 40 foot trailer at night, you know! The 250 miles, is not always our stopping mile, but after fuel stops (Truck & ourselves), dog walk times, and potty stops for all, a 3 hour drive becomes a 4 – 5 hour drive. But don’t get me wrong, we enjoy every bit of it!
Happy Trails,
Lynn & Denise Boon

Love your 250 Rule. I've never heard that one before! Think it's one I will definitely remember!
