Everyone likes to give – and receive – gifts at the holidays. But with space at a premium, full time RV’ers can only have so many nesting bowls, cutesy outdoor signs and camper-themed dish towels.

Whether shopping for someone else or responding to your friends and family when they ask what’s on your wish list, here’s a can’t-miss guide to gift ideas for full time RV’ers:

For those who travel a lot:

• KOA, Passport America or other campground memberships or gift cards.

• Good Sam, AAA or other roadside service memberships, or an upgrade to their current plan. Memberships start at around $60.

• The spiral-bound Motor Carrier’s Road Atlas, at just $13 on amazon.com, is a great, affordable gift for those who drive a big rig. Designed for truckers, this atlas helps drivers of large RVs map their route without worrying about height clearances and other obstructions.

• A hotel gift card, because sometimes it’s nice to take a break from the road.

For those who stay in one place:

• The snowbird on your list might like some comfy chairs, a side table, a hammock or an outdoor heater. Camping World has lots of outdoor living items to choose from that are specifically geared to full time RV’ers, in every price range.

• A coupon book for their “local” area, like those sold by entertainment.com, that features two-for-one and 50 percent off deals on things like restaurants, local attractions, groceries, salons and many other services.

• A gift card to their favorite area restaurant.

• A personalized welcome mat, available from online retailers like personalizationmall.com.

For families or adventurers:

• An experience gift card, like a hot air balloon ride, surf lessons or a zombie tour. The website greatamericandays.com lists hundreds of adventures by category, state and price.

• An annual National Parks Pass cost just $80 and gives free entrance to more than 2,000 national parks and recreation areas around the country.

• Gift cards or passes to Disney World or other theme parks and attractions. Many zoos, aquariums and museums offer reciprocal benefits with membership. Check out the North American Reciprocal Museum for a state-by-state list (however be sure to read the fine print as some benefits only apply to the most expensive category of membership, and also check that your recipient doesn’t already qualify for free admission as a senior citizen, member of the military, etc.).

• A compact, waterproof camera like the Nikon Coolpix starting at $109.99 at Best Buy.

For those on a budget or fixed income:

• Cell phone provider data. Companies like Verizon will let you buy data and gift it to someone else. It might not always be the most cost effective way to help someone pay their bills, but will surely be appreciated by a traveler with limited funds.

• Gift cards, gift cards, gift cards. As mentioned throughout this list, any one with limited space will appreciate a gift card. Think about what the person on a budget really needs and find a card that will make their life a little easier. Gas cards, grocery cards, discount store cards, restaurants and prepaid phone cards all are good bets.

• Contact the campground where they stay most often and see if you can pay for a few nights, a week or even a month.

• If your own budget isn’t limited, offer to pay for a repair or upgrade they’ve been wanting on their RV – such as a more accessible shower, a back-up camera or a satellite dish.

For those who have everything:

• Personalized beach towels, ranging in price from about $30 to $60 from online vendors such as collage.com. A beach towel featuring a photo of the smiling grandkids or adorable pooches is sure to be a conversation starter at the pool or beach.

• A Bluetooth meat thermometer, like this one for $79.95 from Williams-Sonoma, will no doubt make the avid BBQ’er smile.

• An outdoor timer for lights.

• The “Happy Campers” adult coloring book from amazon.com, along with some fancy colored pencils. This camper-themed adult coloring book is a great way to wile away the days on the road or the evenings in an RV.

For any full-time RV’er on your list:

• A stocking full of candy and other small treats

• A fresh wreath or small tree delivered, to decorate their campsite
