PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. - The Florida panhandle city of Panama Beach concludes its Beach Home for the Holidays celebrations with the 11th Annual New Year's Eve Beach Ball Drop. Special events for young revelers on Dec. 31 include an 8 p.m. drop of 10,000 inflated beach balls from nets stretched over the streets of Pier Park. Entertainment and live music continue until midnight, when a giant LED-lit beach ball is lowered from the 80 foot tall Celebration Tower in the center of Pier Park, welcoming 2019.
“Our New Year's Eve Beach Ball Drop gives guests of all ages the chance to celebrate, with activities timed to coincide with both little one's bed times and adults seeking late night fun,” Dan Rowe, president and CEO of Visit Panama City Beach, said in a press release.
